08/01/08 Lib Activity Output for Be and K

Last week, you submitted relevant Tier 1 sources. Today, you will write proper APA format citations for them. If your sources did not make the grade, please look for others.

For each group, please submit proper APA format of seven relevant sources of information. You may use sources you already submitted before. This is worth 15 points in the class activities portion of the grade. You can comment on this entry/email me/submit it on a sheet of pad paper at the end of class, just indicate your group code.

Please also use this period to photocopy the sections of the books and other printed sources you will need and accumulate links for addition to the whitelist so that you will not be cramming next week.

Some common APA format guideline samples can be found using the links below:

  • For PSHS researches, let’s agree to use this format:
Author, A. A., Bauthor, B. B., & Cauthor, C.C. (2000).
Title of PSHS Research. PSHS Research Paper.
Philippine Science High School - Main Campus,
     Quezon City.
  • Abstracts are cited in the same manner as full sources, only you need to append [Abstract] in brackets after the article’s title.
  • Other specialized kinds of APA citations can be searched using google. Just enter APA citation and the specifications, e.g.: APA citation website no author, to find out how to cite these kinds of articles. Make sure to open only .edu sites as these are already included in the whitelist.
  • MS Word 2007 has an automatic APA citation wizard. You can use this to write your APA citations but you ‘ll just have to double-check to know if it’s correct.
